Looking for a co-own home for a female puppy. She will be ready to go near the end of July. Message for more info.
January 2016. Once more, we had a great time at the Oregon Truffle Festival. Angelina Solipse, (Angie), came with us this year. Although I have not done any truffle training with Angie, she found more truffles that the other dogs we were with! She's a natural. Her puppies from our summer litter will be imprinted with truffle scent and will be natural truffle dogs.
While at the Truffle Festival, Roz Rickard of Lagottino kennels and I had a conference call with the Canadian Kennel Club. We were asked to set the template for Agriculture Canada, as to what the description of a Lagotto Romagnolo dog should be. We were honored to have been asked to help with this important next step in attaining full recognition for our breed in Canada!
January 2015. We attended the Oregon Truffle Festival again this year. It was great fun and a lot learned about truffle cultivation and cooking. One of our truffle trained puppies, at only 16 weeks old, found 30 truffles! This was her first ever truffle hunt!! We couldn't be more thrilled and proud of her. Pics to come.
June 2014. We took a trip to Italy to visit the Italian kennel Club, ENCI, to deal with a registration issue with our male, Italo. We visited his breeder, Flora Faller, and returned home with two incredible puppies from Silvanbull kennel. Both boys are structurally correct, have proper scissor bites, wonderful coat texture and the sweetest of personalities. Look for these up and comers in the show ring soon!
January 24th-26, 2014 News flash! - Just got home from the Oregon Truffle festival. We went to Oregon for 4 days with our 9 month old (sisters), Lagotto Romagnolo dogs. One of our puppies found 6 truffles!!
We were interviewed by the local television about the dogs, who were a huge hit. I learned a lot about truffle cultivation, growing, and cooking. We were served three meals a day, in between lectures, which were all made with truffles, (and of course there was a different wine to accompany each course of each meal). I have not drank so much wine, and certainly not eaten so many dishes made with truffles, in my life. All in all it was a great weekend, with lots of new friends made.
The cost of a Lagotto Romagnolo puppy/dog runs between $3600.00-$10,000.00 + depending on training and intended use of the dog. Once we have decided that this breed is right for you and you would like to be placed on our wait list, a deposit of $500.00 (non refundable) will be required.
We finally won our court case against a breeder in Missouri. We now have full registration for our dog Italo Dei Silvanbull. The judge upheld our charge of fraud!
